Walk With Me to Coney Island

I never posted the pictures I took in September of 2017, and hey, it’s summer. So here is a short trip to a place that most New Yorkers have traveled to at some point. It helps that the subway is a block away.
One of the first things seen is Nathan’s. My dad had adored their french fries (and hot dogs, of course). This location honors its location with seafood on the menu. I’ve had their fried flounder fillets, but trust me, don’t look at the calorie count.
Walk past Nathan’s and get onto the boardwalk. For people expecting new and shiny, that’s not what this is about. It’s the smell of salt air and suntan lotion, and a view that goes into forever.
And we share with the locals.
Finally, I turned around for one more shot before trekking back across the sand.
It looks like such a nice place to visit!
It is. But at the same time, it was off season and the multitudes of people usually crowding every spare patch of sand (or walking/biking on the boardwalk) were not there. Although that can be a fun experience too. 🙂
HOW much is a Nathan’s foot long today?
LOL Not a clue! I haven’t eaten a hot dog in a loooooong time.
