So, What are You Doing at Home?

For obvious reasons, many, many people are now staying home. Some are working from home but others aren’t.

So, what are you doing with your time? If you say you’re eating a strict diet and rigorously exercising while keeping your home pristine, I’m going to call bullshit. C’mon, people lie to their co-workers when asked what they had for supper the night before. “What did I eat? Oh, I had grilled salmon with broccoli,” when in reality it was Funyuns and a beer. Let’s be honest here.

Opening the Window on Foreign Languages

I’ve always sucked at foreign languages. Really, truly sucked. Seven years of Hebrew, two or three years of French, and the result is the same. I can say my prayers and offer a weak bonjour if I need to, but that’s about it.

So this week will be Frankie pics, both old and new. He doesn’t mind too much although sometimes I see that look on his face when I wave my phone in front of him. The kind of look we used to give our parents. You know the one.

BTS’s “Map Of The Soul: 7”

Well, I’m a bit late to the party but now I’m on board. I like BTS. I like their music, and their latest, Map of the Soul: 7, is the first new music album I’ve bought in years. I’ve spent a lot of time catching up to the older stuff I missed when I couldn’t hear music for eight years. So this is big, forking over money for the entire thing instead of picking and choosing a song here and there.

The album is breaking records all over the world but here’s the thing: I like the music. I’m not riding the wave of public opinion and that’s probably the best endorsement anyone can give (and I like to think most, if not all, of us are listening for the same reason). I’m glad for their sakes that it’s doing so well though.

Now you’ll have to excuse me while I go listen and watch a few of their amazing vids and wander into a different universe. Not a bad way to spend a day.
