So, What are You Doing at Home?

For obvious reasons, many, many people are now staying home. Some are working from home but others aren’t.
So, what are you doing with your time? If you say you’re eating a strict diet and rigorously exercising while keeping your home pristine, I’m going to call bullshit. C’mon, people lie to their co-workers when asked what they had for supper the night before. “What did I eat? Oh, I had grilled salmon with broccoli,” when in reality it was Funyuns and a beer. Let’s be honest here.
I’ll start. I’ve been spending a lot of time listening to music and watching music vids via YouTube. Also, watching k-dramas.
And I’m trying very hard to stop doing Amazon therapy, where I search for things to buy because hey, there’s a package arriving that’s for ME! (Some of the fun is reduced when I open the package and remember that I ordered a soup ladle and a box of cat litter.)
I did create a new screen saver using NASA’s free photos, which you can find here.
And I’m looking through recipes based on the ingredients in my house. Can anyone explain why all the recipes with beans contain the one type of bean I don’t have a can of?
I make it a point to call someone every day. It’s helped me to reconnect with people I don’t often speak with, and that’s cool.
You notice I’m not mentioning writing. It’s a little hard to get my head in the game and I’m cutting myself some slack. I’m doing a lot of reading, though, and if you’ve read this far, consider buying an ebook from an indie author—a lot of us have some good tales out there for sale and buying and reading benefits everyone involved.
That’s more or less what I’ve been up to. There’s obviously room for improvement (exercise, anybody?), but I’ll see what I can do.
So, what are you doing?
Sending virtual hugs to everyone (wrap your arms around your body and pat, it helps).
I’m basically reconnecting with myself.
It’s been a big change for me. Meetings.. no appointments to rush off to. It’s great but also strange.
Would you believe I actually made chicken pies today? Made the dough..used leftover chicken and veggies.
It was easy and delicious. I’m sorta angry that I never seemed to have the time to make pies … More than that.. I never realized how rushed I’ve been the past few years.
Hubby is thrilled to be able to indulge in his favorite pastime.. classic movies! Especially horror films from universal and hammer studios.
But tonight is my night and I’m looking forward to watching Casablanca. 😇
Enjoy! I’ve been looking in my cupboard and getting a little creative. No clue why I had eight cans of sardines but it’s been interesting figuring out how to use them.
