My Beautiful Moon Jar

I wasn’t kidding when I said I wanted a moon jar. A very specific, punch-to-the-heart want. But the one I posted about here was a museum piece. Looking online, I saw many simple, unadorned moon jars for sale, most in mini size. I was tempted to settle but they were just too small.
And then.
I found a potter in Brooklyn who made them, and started a dialogue. Was it insulting to tell him that I desired something so specific? It turned out he was happy to make me one. It’s the moon. Beautiful, serene, and powerful.
